Dr. Felix Bongomin

Lecturer


Dr. Felix Bongomin is a distinguished scholar and clinician specializing in internal medicine and medical microbiology. Over the course of his career, Dr. Bongomin has supervised more than 30 undergraduate and postgraduate theses, and he has an impressive publication record, with over 200 peer-reviewed publications in reputable journals, including The Lancet and Clinical Infectious Diseases.
In 2018, Dr. Bongomin joined Gulu University as a lecturer in the Department of Medical Microbiology, having previously served as a Clinical Research Fellow at the University of Manchester, UK. His areas of expertise encompass infectious diseases, epidemiology, and research methodology. Throughout his career, Dr. Bongomin has focused on advancing our understanding of fungal diseases, particularly pulmonary aspergillosis, and other fungal infections, and developing effective treatment strategies. His contributions in this field have earned him recognition both nationally and internationally.
