INSTITUTIONAL SET-UP OF THE UNIVERSITY AND MANAGEMENT ARRANGEMENT
Visitor: The visitor of the University is His Excellecency the President of the Republic of Uganda. He performs an overall supervision role over the affairs of each public University.
Ministry of Education and Sports: This is a policy formulation and regualatory organ headed by the Minister. It provides techical support, guidance, coordination and regulations.
Chancellor: This is the titular head of the University who presides at all ceremonial assemblies of the University and, in the name of Gulu University, confer degrees and other academic titles and distinctions of the University.
University Council: This is a top level administration team chaired by the Chairperson, Gulu University Council. Its an overall administration of the objects and functions of the University.
It comprises of the tecchnical committees of council that supportt the advisory duties to council, and the committees include; Planning and Development, Finance, Appointment's Board, Students' Affairs, Audit and Risk Assurance, and Quality Assurance.
