Information for researchers
Do you want to submit a protocol for review? Follow these steps!
The submission of an application for research ethical review is done online through the National Research Information Management System (NRIMS).
All first-time users are required to register by creating an account within the system through the link https://nrims.uncst.go.ug/. Upon completion of the registration process or creating an account, the system will send you the login username, password that you created, and an activation link to your registered email address.
Activate your account by clicking the activation link sent to your email and follow the steps. If you do not instantly see an email in your inbox, check in the junk file or spam folder. After activating your account, you can logout, and later on return to the NRIMS start-up page and login again using your username and password that you created, and proceed to apply/submit the application via the tab ‘Submit New protocol’ on the left side of the screen. You will encounter a probing question ‘Does the study involve human participants?’; Go for the answer ‘yes’.
When you get to the point of “Choose REC” in the application process, select “Gulu University REC”.
