Circular on Application for Change of Programme 2026/2027

Conditions for Change of Programme
1. The student must have enrolled on the Academic Management Information System (ACMIS), paid 100% of the general/functional fees and at least 70% of the tuition fees for the programme he/she was admitted to.
2. The student must have met the minimum admission requirements of the programme to change to (Check the University Website www.gu.ac.ug for minimum admission requirements).
3. The weight of the student must be within the cut-off weight for the programme (Herewith attached).

Procedure for Change of Programme on ACMIS
1. Log in to your student portal at https:/lmyportal:illd..:.ac_,_ug
2. On the left-hand menu under ‘Service’, click on the ‘Apply for Services’ Button.
3. Click on ‘Change of Program’ Button.
4. Fillin the details for change of programme using drop-down menu.
5. Click the ‘Preview and Submit’ Button.
6. Confirm change of programme data and click ‘Submit Application’ Button.
7. Click on ‘Generate Payment Reference’ Button.
8. Under ‘Service’, click on “Service History’ to view the change of programme details, Payment Reference Number and a bill of 20,000/= to exclude bank changes.
9. Copy the PRN, accurately, and pay the change of programme fees in any bank.
10. Keep the receipt of payment for change of programme for ease of reference.

Deadline for Receiving Applications for Change of Programme.
1. The deadline isSunday August 23, 2026 at 11:59 p.m.
2. Please note that applications received after the deadline will not be processed.
