The students came for a tour to have first hand real feel of university life, environment and general campus atmosphere as they envision to join the university in the near future.
Masereka Johnson, one of the teachers who accompanied them for the tour was impressed by the look of the university and its visibility across the country that made them to decide not to miss stepping foot and encouraging both students and teachers to pursue their courses at the higher institution of learning.

Alfred Eregu, (in black and purple attire), one of the security personnel of Gulu University briefing the students at the university main gate before setting off for the tour.
The students and teachers from the Rwenzori region who visited Gulu and Northern Uganda for the first time appreciated the green spaces and conducive study environment of the university surrounded by trees and well-kept compound safe for learning.
When they saw current students in the university compound, lecture halls, and other facilities, the excited students were inspired and saw themselves in those same roles in few months and years to come when they become part of the university.
