Okidi, the Author of ‘Lok Dog Acoli ‘ donated Books
Okidi George, the author of ‘Lok Dog Acoli’, on October,29th, 2024 paid a courtesy call to the Vice-Chancellor from the New Library.
Okidi gave Prof.Openjuru George Ladaah a personal copy and donated five copies of his books to the university library where Okello Calvin, one of the University staff was among the first to buy a personal copy.
Prof.Openjuru George Ladaah, the Vice-Chancellor of Gulu University is actively running a scheme to ensure that local authors are promoted by having their works bought and kept at Gulu University Library.
“Lok Dog Acoli” is an Acoli book published in August 2024 by Penwall Publishers in Kampala, and it explores the oral literature and tradition of the Acoli People. Each copy goes for Ugx,20,000.
