Ministry of Water and Environment officials meets GU Management team
The office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Water and Environment , has dispatched a team led by Senior Surveyor, Vivienne Kiggundu to fast track the development leading to a comprehensive survey of the Gulu Central Forest Reserve to pave way for the degazettement to allow the expansion of Gulu University.
The team from the Ministry of Water and Environment then held a meeting on the morning of 9th/April 2025 with the management of the University at the Council Boardroom where they clearly spelt their strategy in ensuring that the above exercise is concluded in time. Vivienne Kiggundu said they shall meet all the stakeholders related to the matter and they include the district land and survey team, the zonal Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development team in Gulu, among others.
Prof. Openjuru, George Ladaah the Gulu University Vice-Chancellor thanked the team and requested them to expedite the process to allow major development at Gulu University.
