Gulu University Signed MOU with Lacor Hospital and University of Florence, Italy
Gulu University has renewed its Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Lacor Hospital in joint research, teaching, organizing short courses, public seminar and lectures collaborations among others for the next five years.
Prof. Openjuru, George Ladaah the Gulu University Vice-Chancellor and Dr. Emintone Odong Ayella the Medical Director of Lacor Hospital sealed the agreement on Monday January 15th 2024 as other officials from the two institutions witnessed the occasion.
Gulu University also used the same stage to sign a memorandum of understanding with Florence University for cultural and scientific cooperation that includes staff exchange programs targeting Gulu University Faculty of Medicine and the Department of Experimental Clinical Medicine of the University of Florence in Italy.
The two Universities will have exchanges in Anesthesiology, pathological anatomy, and general surgery among others.
Prof. Openjuru George Ladaah recognized the traditional relationship the University has developed with Lacor Hospital and expressed excitement that the collaboration has been paying off since Gulu University is producing the best doctors recognized globally.
Gulu University currently uses Lacor Hospital and Gulu Regional Referral Hospital as a teaching hospital for its medical school.
