Gulu University Joint Staff Association has called off their Industrial Action
The Gulu University Joint Staff Association called off their industrial action on Monday, March 3rd, 2025. This follows several engagements from the University management and correspondences from the Ministry of Public Service and Uganda Public Universities Forum, among others.
Prof. Openjuru, George Ladaah, the Vice Chancellor, addressed the staff earlier on Monday and told them to resume work because management has goodwill toward following up on their demand for salary enhancement using strategic means that don’t stampede services in the university.
The staff during the Joint Assembly chaired by Okot Walter, the chairperson of Gulu University Academic Staff Association (GUASA), voted to resume work on Tuesday, 4th, March 2025, by 8:00am
