Gulu University hosted Police conference for Aswa Region
Gulu university has become the hub of hosting national and international conferences, after hosting the ambassadors annual conference by the Ministry of Foreign affairs and many other government strategic meetings. Just on Wednesday, September 10th, the university hosted the Aswa Regional Police conference presided over by the Uganda Inspector General of Police, Abas Byakagaba.
He met with Prof. Openjuru, George Ladaah and thanked him for the transformation happening at Gulu University.
Prof. Openjuru said as a son of a former Police officer, he would like to encourage all police officers to ensure their children gets education.
“I’m a professor now and my father was a police officer but he made sure I got education”. Openjuru said.
The Inspector General of Police said the Police leadership is committed in boosting the police officers to ensure their children study hard.
