B-VET Project Skills & Decent Jobs Workshop Edition April 2026
Advancing Skills for Decent Jobs in Uganda
On 16th April 2026, the B-VET Project participated in the Skills & Decent Jobs Workshop held in Kampala, Uganda, bringing together key stakeholders from government, academia, development partners, and the private sector.
During the workshop, GWED-G, on behalf of the B-VET consortium, presented an overview of the project, highlighting its objectives, implementation approach, and contribution to strengthening vocational education and youth employability in Uganda.
The workshop was convened under the Sustainable Business for Uganda (SB4U) Team Europe Initiative to bring together partners in Uganda, align skills development interventions, strengthen coordination, and promote a system-wide approach to job creation.

Project Overview
The B-VET Project strengthens Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) systems across Northern and West Nile Uganda, with a focus on agriculture, green skills, and digital innovation targeting youth, women, and vulnerable populations.
Consortium Partnership
Implemented through a strong Africa-Europe partnership: GWED-G, Gulu University, and Muni University working alongside FyG Consultores (Spain), TECHLAB (Greece), and CSI (Cyprus).
