Introduction
The Erasmus+ funded B-VET Project continues to strengthen Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Northern and West Nile Uganda. In November 2025, GWED-G hosted consortium partners from Europe and Uganda for a strategic monitoring visit, field-learning engagements, and collaboration meetings aimed at improving project implementation.

Key Highlights
• Strengthened collaboration between European and Ugandan partners
• Review and realignment of project work plans
• Field visits to Gulu University, Muni University, and Labora Youth Centre
• Engagement with students and institutional leadership
• Advancement of digital learning and curriculum development
Leadership Voices
GWED-G Executive Director emphasized the urgency of equipping Uganda’s youth with market-relevant vocational skills. The Vice Chancellor of Gulu University highlighted the importance of integrating TVET into national development and extending learning opportunities to non-formal institutions.

Student Innovation & Practical Learning
Students from the Faculty of Agriculture showcased research on mid-altitude wheat production aimed at reducing imports and enhancing food security. Practical learning through agro-processing and entrepreneurship demonstrates the impact of hands-on skills development and innovation among youth.
