Two new members joined Gulu University Council
Gulu University Council has received and sworn in two new members during its 64th Council sitting at the University New Library on Thursday ,28th, May,2026. The Gulu Chief Magistrate Alule Augustine and Gulu University Legal Officer, Omara Moses presided over the function.
The newly sworn in members include, Mr. Okot Francis who joined in as the convocation chairperson as a replacement for the late Pastor Joseph Okidi who was the first convocation leader. The second person sworn in was Mr. Onyanga Geoffrey representatives from the Ministry of Education and Sports.
The 64th council meeting deliberated on major development matters at the university that included looking at infrastructural project matrix at the university where the renovation at the Faculty of Medicine was reported at 100% completion rate. The Council also confirmed recruitment and promotions of many university staff into the service of the university.
