GUSASA Elects New Executives for the period 2025-2028
Gulu University Senior Administrative Staff Association (GUSASA) has elected new executives to serve for the period 2025 to 2028.
In the election which took place on Thursday 9th January, 2025 from the University Main Hall, the following were re-elected in their previous positions. Calvin Okello as Chairperson, Mrs. Betty Ajok Okello, Vice Chairperson and Robert Ringtho re-elected General Secretary.
Other members elected include Wilfred Odong-Treasurer, Ms. Felista Auma – Publicity Secretary and Counsel Moses Omara as Legal Officer. Jimmy Langole was elected GUSASA Representative to Council and Khalid Mahmoud – Representative to Senate.
Ms. Agatha Nasozi, Ms. Julie Akello and Mr. Damasca Labeja are the three elected Committee members.
Out of the 11 positions, 10 were occupied by members unopposed except the position of vice chairperson which attracted 2 candidates. The former vice chairperson Mrs. Betty Ajok Okello got 16 votes and her competitor Ms. Esther Nyakecho got 8 votes.
A total of 25 people voted with 1 invalid vote recorded. The elected leaders pledged to serve the interest of GUSASA fraternity for the next four years.
