Gulu University VC Signs Letter of Intent to formalise the collaboration with Groningen University
On Tuesday July 1 2025, the Vice Chancellor of Gulu University, Uganda, Prof George Openjuru Ladaah and Prof Jouke de Vries, President of the University of Groningen signed a Letter of Intent to formalise the collaboration of over 20 years between Gulu University and the University of Groningen.
Besides cooperation in the form of staff exchange, student exchange and Double Degree PhD collaborations, work is also underway to set up a network of universities in Uganda, Gulu University, Makerere University, Kyambogo University, Uganda Martyrs University, African Rural University, and the University of Groningen.
It is expected that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will be signed after the summer holidays.
