BSU IV Project team tasked to establish Africa-Denmark Network

The Gulu University coordinator for Building Stronger Universities-BSU project, Dr. Agatha Alidri has called upon the team to work collectively towards establishing a BSU Africa-Denmark Network.

Dr. Alidri made this call while giving her closing remarks on Thursday, 6th June, 2024 at the Gulu University New Library during the closure of the 3-day BSU IV engagement which ran from 4th to 6th June, 2024.

According to her, this Network is envisioned to act as a platform for communicating and sharing BSU project information across all universities for a successful project implementation.

The Gulu University Secretary David Obol Otori congratulated all the BSU team members from different universities, partners and donors upon a successful BSU Phase IV launch and urged them to remain committed for a fruitful implementation of the project.

“Whenever an activity has been planned properly, there is no doubt that the implementation will go wrong. The planning process has been thorough, the collaboration is going to continue and I am very confident that BSU IV will meet all its set objectives as planned,” he said while officially closing the engagement on behalf of the Vice Chancellor Prof. Openjuru George Ladaah.

Lars Arne the Danida Fellowship Centre-DFC coordinator assured the team of his commitment to see that the phase IV project succeeds.

BSU is a Danida Funded project aimed at strengthening research capacity at Gulu University. It is a partnership between researchers in higher education institutions in developing countries and Danish Universities.
