Building capacity of VET providers in West-Nile and Northern Uganda
Description
B-VET is a three-year project co-funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ Programme, within the action “Capacity Building in the Field of Vocational Education and Training (VET)”. The project aims to improve the quality, relevance, and impact of Vocational Education and Training in Northern Uganda and the West-Nile region, with a focus on strengthening the link between skills provision and the local labor market.
The overall objective of B-VET is to improve the quality and responsiveness of VET systems to economic and social developments, thereby enhancing the labor market relevance of skills training in these underserved regions of Sub-Saharan Africa.
Specific Objectives:
• To enhance the livelihoods of vulnerable rural youth by strengthening skills for sustainable income generation and job creation.
• To build the capacity of VET providers in West-Nile and Northern Uganda for demand-oriented and opportunity-driven VET interventions.
• To align VET provision with Uganda’s Third National Development Plan and the EU-Uganda Multi-annual Indicative Programme (MIP) 2021–2027.
