Gulu University is collaborating with Ghent University UniVLIR-UO, Belgium to host the Institutional University Cooperation Programme (IUC-2026) of the VLIR-UOS. On Monday 24 February, 2025, the University Top Management hosted a three-member team who came to assess the institution's capability to host the IUC-2026 Programme. Gulu University Academic Staff Association (GUASA) has successfully carried out election of two representatives to the University Council. The election which was held on Monday 13th January, 2025 from the main campus saw three contestants competing for the two positions of representatives.
