Background of Gulu University Kotido Campus
Gulu University Kotido Campus is a branch of Gulu University, located in Kotido district in the Karamoja sub-region of Uganda. Established as part of the university’s expansion efforts, the campus aims to increase access to higher education in the northern region of the country. It is committed to providing quality education and fostering development in the region.
The campus shares Gulu University’s mission of excellence in teaching, research, and community engagement. Its vision is to be a leading institution in the provision of practical and relevant education that addresses the unique challenges of the Karamoja sub-region.

Programmes Offered
Currently the campus offers a range of academic programmes designed to meet the educational and administrative needs of the region. Among the prominent programmes are the Bachelor of Education Primary and the Bachelor of Public Administration and Management.
1.Bachelor of Education Primary (BEP): The Bachelor of Education Primary programme focuses on training teachers for primary-level education. It is designed to equip students with the necessary pedagogical skills, knowledge, and attitudes to effectively teach and manage primary school classes.

2.Bachelor of Public Administration and Management (BPAM): The Bachelor of Public Administration and Management programme is designed to develop skilled professionals capable of managing public sector organizations.
