Kenneth Kidega
Assistant Lecturer
Mr. Kenneth Kidega is currently pursuing a PhD in Agriculture and Applied Biosciences, specializing in Food Science and Nutrition from Gulu University and partially at University of Pretoria, South Africa. He holds a degree of Master of Science in Food Security and Nutrition from Gulu University and, a Bachelor of Animal Production and Management from Busitema University. He is an Assistant Lecturer in the department of Food Science and Postharvest Technology.
Mr. Kenneth’s research interests cover food science and human nutrition in general of which food product development and analysis, food sensory science, climate smart nutrition, consumer behaviours, nutrition and non-communicable diseases amongst others stands as priorities. Mr. Kenneth has profound interest in understanding how to develop healthy food products from nutritionally rich locally available food material that mitigates environmental degradation and Green House Gases Emissions (GHEs).
Mr. Kenneth has published his work in international peer-reviewed scientific journals and participated in several national and international conferences and workshops.
