Women in Action for Women (WAW)

Participants: Prof. Mwaka Amos Deogratius - A board member

Description

WAW was registered in 2018 (https://www.womeninactionforwomen.com/copy-of-waw-united-states) to support formerly abducted women and their children conceived in captivity with the Lord’s Resistance Army/Movement (LRA/M). Early onset of sexual activity and having multiple male sexual partners is a risk factor for development of cervical cancer. I have supported the women and their children through awareness creation on risk factors and symptoms of cervical and breast cancers, as well as with psychosocial challenges related to posttraumatic stress disorders.
