Remuneration and Teacher’s performance in secondary school in Gulu District, 2021
ArticleAbstract
The study investigated the impact of remuneration on teacher performance in Secondary Schools in Uganda. Teacher performance had evidently deteriorated with 75% of the teachers not scheming and lesson planning, rising cases of absenteeism (17%), dodging of lessons 30%, strikes, alcoholism, sexual immorality, and lack of respect. Specifically, the study examined remuneration statuses that could be used to improve teacher performance. This study used systematic and scoping review approaches to come with findings and conclusions. While there have been some local and cross-national comparative studies undertaken
