Proposed activity plan for the African Traditional Medicine Day from August 24th to 31st, 2025:
Theme: “Advancing African Traditional Medicine: Research, Innovation, and Integration”
Objective:To promote the development and integration of traditional medicine into healthcare systems, highlighting its potential contributions to achieving Universal Health Coverage.
Activities:
1. Scientific Conference (August 26-27): Invite renowned researchers, policymakers, and traditional medicine practitioners to share knowledge and experiences.
2. Exhibition (August 25-30): Showcase traditional medicine products, research, and innovations.
3. Workshops (August 24 & 31): Hands-on training on traditional medicine preparation, standardization, and quality control.
4. Research Symposium (August 28): Present research findings and discuss future directions.
5. Stakeholder Engagement (August 29): Meet with policymakers, healthcare professionals, and industry leaders to discuss integration and policy development.
