Mr Olyel holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Accounting from Gulu University. He also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Management from Gulu University, a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Gulu University and the Uganda Diploma in Business Studies (UDBS) from Makerere University Business School-Kampala, as well as the Finance Officers’ Diploma of Uganda Management Institute (UMI)-Kampala. He has more than eighteen (18) years of work experience in accountancy at Gulu University, after having worked in Gulu District Local Government as Senior Accounts Assistant for a period of five (5) years. He has held senior and managerial positions at Gulu University. He joined Gulu University in May 2005 and rose through the ranks from an Accounts Assistant to the position of Principal Accountant.
