Okot Fred Kidega is a dynamic and purpose driven student leader at Gulu University, where he serves as the Guild Representative to the Students’ Council 24th students guild (GRC) for the Faculty of Business and Development Studies. Concurrently, he holds the esteemed position of cabinet Minister for Ethics, Integrity, and Religious Affairs. Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration and Management, Fred is committed to fostering ethical leadership and integrity within the academic community.Hailing from Lamwo District, Fred’s leadership journey began in high school, where he cultivated a passion for transformative governance. Currently, he is spearheading an impactful awareness campaign on Gulu University’s Anti- sexual Harassment Policy, launched in September 2021, demonstrating his dedication to creating a safe and equitable academic environment. Through his ministry, Fred is resolute in promoting ethics and integrity, aiming to nurture responsible citizens who will combat corruption and contribute to Uganda’s progress.A fervent advocate for sustainable development, Fred aligns his efforts with Gulu University’s commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). His vision is to uplift the university and its community, planting seeds of positive change that will resonate beyond academia.
