Mr. Minyeto Daniel is a Lecturer in the Department of Pharmacy, Faculty of Medicine at Gulu University, where he has been teaching pharmacy since 2015. He joined the university in 2012 as an Assistant Lecturer after previously serving as a Hospital Pharmacist at Gulu Independent Hospital.
He holds a Master of Pharmacy in Pharmaceutical Analysis from the University of Nairobi and a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) from Mbarara University of Science and Technology.
Over the years, Mr. Minyeto has actively contributed to teaching, curriculum development, student mentorship, and academic administration within the Faculty of Medicine. He has participated in several faculty initiatives, including competency-based curriculum development, undergraduate research supervision at Gulu University, and postgraduate research supervision at Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST).
He also spearheaded the development of the Bachelor of Pharmacy programme at Gulu University and served as the founding Head of Department when the programme officially commenced in August 2024.
His research interests focus on pharmaceutical analysis, particularly in quality assurance and quality control of pharmaceuticals and related substances using modern analytical techniques. He is also interested in the application of artificial intelligence in medicinal chemistry and healthcare. In addition, he is passionate about exploring Uganda’s capacity for local pharmaceutical manufacturing, especially medicines derived from natural sources, and the systems required to ensure their quality, safety, and efficacy.
