Teso Students Association won Cultural Gala at Gulu University

Gulu University Teso Students Association on Saturday15th ,2025 won the Gulu University 2025 Cultural Gala edition that took place from the university playground. The Teso students were organized with their thumb piano and made rear moves that impressed the judges.

In the results signed by Judith Lubega Tusiime, Okwonga Stephen and Katumba Barnabas who were the judges of the day; saw Teso students with 259 points followed by Karamoja Students Association who scored 256 points while Madi Student Association came third with 253 point and in fourth position was Acholi student Association among others out of 23 Student Associations that participated in the 2025 cultural gala.

The first prize was one million Uganda shillings followed by Seven Hundred Fifty Thousand Uganda Shillings that was allocated to second prize winner while the third prize got Five hundred Uganda shillings

Prof. Openjuru George Ladaah the Gulu university Vice-Chancellor described the event as colorful and thanked the students for showcasing the different cultures of Uganda. He also awarded the first prize to the Teso students association while Dr. Denis Thaddeus Ofoyuru who represented the Deputy Vice-Chancellor awarded the second prize while Dr Stella Eduan the Dean of Students awarded the third prize.
