funded by USAID.  Consisting of    20 Universities in 16 Countries in Africa. Leading University was School of Public Health,  College of Health Sciences, Makerere University. ResilientAfrica Network (RAN) is one of the eight niversity- based Development Labs making up the Higher Education Solutions Network    (HESN) established by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and     existing within its Global Development Labs. The core partners include; Stanford University,  Tulane University, and the Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS).
