Gulu University proudly partners with York University, one of Canada’s leading international teaching and research institutions. This collaboration is built on a shared commitment to improving community wellbeing, advancing global health, and strengthening applied research in areas that directly impact society.
Through a formal Memorandum of Understanding, the two universities work together on joint research initiatives focused on humanitarian health, water and sanitation, and support for refugee and crisis-affected communities. Experts from York University’s Humanitarian Water Engineering Lab collaborate closely with Gulu University’s faculties of Medicine, Agriculture & Environmental Sciences, and Peace & Strategic Studies.
This partnership enhances research capacity, supports knowledge exchange, and creates opportunities for innovation through field studies, joint projects, and academic cooperation. It also expands Gulu University’s global footprint by connecting students and staff with an international network dedicated to solving real-world challenges.
