Gulu University hosted Community leaders

On 16 December 2025, Gulu University elevated its commitment to community transformation through purposeful engagement with grassroots leadership. A team of about 60 LC I and LC II leaders drawn from different parts of Gulu City participated in a guided familiarization tour across the University’s faculties.

Led by the Head of Communications and the Estates Manager, the engagement aimed to acquaint local leaders with the University’s services, infrastructure, and role in community development. The initiative was grounded in the belief that sustainable development begins at the grassroots, with LC leaders serving as vital voices and connectors between institutions and the communities they represent.

The interaction provided a valuable platform for dialogue, enabling the University to receive direct feedback and community perspectives on its services. This exchange has strengthened mutual understanding and will inform continuous improvement in service delivery, in line with Gulu University’s values of inclusivity, partnership, and transformative impact.
