Gulu University host CIRHT with Lira (CIRHT University Conference)


The Center for International Reproductive Health Training (CIRHT), in partnership with Gulu University and Lira University, are set with a panel of leading experts, policymakers, and health professionals for a landmark international conference on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR).


The event, themed “Improving the Quality of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) through Pre-Service Training, Research, and Evidence-Based Clinical Care Delivery in Sub-Saharan Africa,” will be start officially from September 18–19, 2025, at the Acholi Inn Hotel in Gulu City, Uganda.


The organizers led by the Director of CIRHT and Dr Pebalo Pebolo Francis, the Coordinator of CIRHT project at Gulu University collectively made a strong statement in the afternoon of Wednesday during the pre-event of the conference in support of Gulu and Lira Universities as host since the two institutions benefitted from about 28 seed grants for ground breaking research on Sextual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) and has over the years been a great ambassador of CIRHT in Uganda and East Africa.
“Its some of the findings and knowledge generated that shall form the basis of discussion for the three days we are in Gulu”. Dr. Tamrat Endale a Director at CIRHT said.
Rwanda held the 2nd CIRHT Conference in 2022 in Kigali.
