Inter-University Council for East Africa Visited Gulu University

A team from the Inter-University Council for East Africa (IUCEA) led by Executive Secretary Prof. Gaspard Banyankimbona on the 26th, March 2025 paid a courtesy call to Gulu University and they were received by Gulu University Deputy Vice-Chancellor Prof. David Okello Owiny and some members of management. Gulu University Staff Tribunal Adjourned to April

Gulu University Staff Tribunal chaired by Hon. Baku Raphael Obdura adjourned its sitting until the 11 of April 2025 after hearing two cases of appeals that were brought before the Tribunal. One of the cases the Tribunal was hearing was Oryema Denis Welbone Versus Gulu University. Oryema was an Assistant Academic Registrar at the time of his dismissal from the university services. Gulu Archbishop Visited Gulu University.

Gulu University was blessed to have received His Grace Raphael Pa’mony Wokorach, the Archbishop of Gulu Archdiocese on March,19th 2025. He held a mass at St Peter’s Church where Gulu University Catholic Community attends Sunday services. IPSS trains Students on Mental Health

Mr. Obol David Otori, the University Secretary has just opened a mental health awareness training at the Institute of Peace and Strategic Studies.
