Announcement for Mature Age Entry Exams 2027/2028 Academic Year

The Academic Registrar, Gulu University, announces that the Mature Age Entry Examinations for programmes tenable at Gulu University in the 2027/2028 Academic Year will be held on Saturday, 24th October 2026 at Gulu University, Main Campus.

To be eligible for the Mature Age Entry Examinations, the candidate must be at least 25 years old at the time of sitting the examinations and will be required to show proof of age based on valid documents like Birth Certificate and/ or National Identity Card.

Applicants for the Bachelor of Education (Primary) MUST attach copies of their Grade Three certificate named in the format Surname-Grade III (e.g. Okello-Grade III), through the application portal, while filling and submitting the form.

Applicants for Bachelor of Arts with Education, Bachelor of Science with Education or Bachelor of Education (Primary) MUST indicate the Subject Combinations they intend to sit examinations for.

Applicants must fill and submit the application form online accessible on http://apply.gu.ac.ug or www.gu.ac.ug.Onsubmittingtheformonline.print out a payslip and pay a non-refundable application fee of UGX 80,000 for East Africans and UGX 160,000 for International Applicants plus bank charges in any bank branch integrated with Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) system. Note that a service fee of 5,000/= per application has been included on the pay slip.

The deadline for SUbmitting applications is 11th October 2026.

Shortlisted candidates for the Mature Age Entry Examinations will be notified through Email, SMS, Gulu University website: www.gu.ac.ug and Notice Boards by 17th October 2026.
