4 new members sworn in University Council


Gulu University 63rd Council meeting that sat at Moroto has sworn in four new members that include Dr. Stella Laloyo Apeco, the Chief Institute of Peace and Strategic Studies and Mr. William Noah Olwoch Lalobo all representatives from the University Senate Committee.
The swearing in ceremony was handled by Moroto Grade One Magistrate Mugisa Basaija and Omara Moses the Gulu University Legal Officer.

The 24th Guild President, His Excellency Opio Alex Ongom a third-year student of Faculty of Medicine and Ms. Angwech Desire Sylvia, a third-year student for faculty of medicine are representing the student community at the university council.


The Council session took two days from October ,28th to 29th 2025 from Mount Moroto Hotel immediately after council and university management led the Chancellor in a guided tour at the construction site of


Obol David Otori the University Secretary said the holding of the university council in Moroto is a council decision to be moving and holding sessions where university have projects and presence as a mechanism of having direct interface with university development.
