Department of Biosystems Engineering

Biosystems Engineering Department is mandated to carry out teaching, research and outreach in the application of engineering and biological sciences in the production of food, feed and fibre; provision of potable water and water for production, clean energy and environment management. It hosts the BSc in Biosystems Engineering, MSc in Biosystems Engineering and MSc in Renewable Energy and Energy Access Programmes. A new programme of Bachelor of Science in Water Resources and Climate Resilience Engineering is undergoing accreditation by the National Council for Higher Education. The University plans to grow this department into a fully-fledged engineering faculty.
