Yeeko Kisira

Assistant Lecturer

Yeeko Kisira is a geographer and educator in Uganda and beyond. He is currently employed by Gulu University, the most prestigious and prominent public university in Northern Uganda. In the education sector, Yeeko is a proponent of experiential teaching methods in education, drawing from Transformative Theories of Learning.

Yeeko has more than five years of university teaching where he employs competence-based pedagogic methods. Yeeko teaches geography courses including Migration geography, climate change adaptation and mitigation, Hazard assessment and disaster management, GIS, Natural Resources and Development, Basics in climatology, and geomorphology. Yeeko employs mixed methods and geospatial techniques in most of his research. Read More
