Library Assistant


Ms. Ukech Susan, a Library Assistant with over 20 years of experience in school and university libraries, has substantial expertise in supporting research through information resources. She holds a Master’s in ICT from the University of Pretoria, along with a Postgraduate Diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation, a Bachelor’s in ICT, and a Diploma in Library and Information Studies. Her skills in managing Institutional Repositories (Dspace), library IT systems like KOHA, information retrieval, Institutional Repository, web trends, and Monitoring and Evaluation improve her ability to serve users effectively.

She has experience working across various library departments, such as E-resource/ICT, Law, Medical, and the Africana Special Collection. She is passionate about developing information professionals’ skills to improve library services.

Member of ULIA- Uganda Library and Information Association, A member of the CUUL- Consortuim of Uganda University Libraries Monitoring and Evaluation Committee, UpToDate champion at Gulu University.
