Nassanga Prossy is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Food Science and Postharvest Technology, Faculty of Agriculture and Environment. She holds a bachelor of Agriculture Degree and a Master of Science in Food Security and community nutrition both from Gulu University. She is currently a PhD candidate at Gulu University. Her research study is focusing on Characterization of Lactic Acid Bacteria Isolated from a Maize-based fermented beverage consumed in Northern Uganda. She has research interests in the areas of food security and community nutrition, food product development and food microbiology.
