Okello Joel Lakony

Diploma in Education Secondary from Kyambogo University Lakony is a teacher by profession and has taught in several secondary schools in Gulu and Adjumani Districts where he rose in the ranks from a classroom teacher to Deputy Headteacher while at Alliance High School, Gulu. He also served as volunteer at Lwo Development Incorporated -LDI, a Community based organization which worked closely with Ker Kwaro Acholi, the traditional leaders’ institution. Lakony loves sports and participates in many outdoor and indoor games like football, volleyball and Chess. Lakony deeply understands the value of a clean and organized space and the integral part it plays in a positive Learning and Work environment. As Custodian, he is proud to make his contributions to that space and for ensuring that the students, staff, and visitors feel comfortable in their surroundings. Lakony is eager to continue to learn and to expand his technical knowledge and skills, to ensure that he can improve the standards of maintenance and cleaning. With his expertise and enthusiasm, he is confident that as a team we can collectively achieve more at IPSS – Gulu University, as we all strive to transform the Community together.
