Meet Hon Kwesiga Martin, a fourth year student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. Hon Martin is a GRC representing students from the faculty of Agriculture and Environment 2023/2024 guild government. Upon reaching the guild council, Hon Marin was appointed by H.E Francis Okot to serve as the cabinet minister for Academic Affairs in the 22nd Guild Government
Throughout his Academic journey, he has been passionate in Agriculture and its potential to improve livelihoods and provide sustainable solutions to our communities. His education at Gulu University, one of the leading Agricultural universities in Uganda has equipped him with strong foundation in Agricultural sciences and the comprehensive curriculum has allowed him to explore skills and knowledge in Agronomy, Animal Sciences, Food Sciences, Biosystems Engineering, Agribusiness and rural development and Environment and natural resource management coupled with research projects and recess in Agricultural farms which has horned his skills and provided him with practical insights into the field.
As an Academic Minister Hon Martin is committed to promoting Academic excellence, fostering a supportive environment for learning and advocating for the needs of students and the University by creating an inclusive and collaborative environment where students and administration can thrive. He is dedicated to organizing workshops, career development programs, and mentoring sessions to empower students with resources and skills necessary for their Academic and professional success.
