Jackson Abandu is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science at Gulu University. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (Hons) from Gulu University and a Master’s degree in Information Technology from Makerere University. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Agricultural and Applied Biosciences at Gulu University, where his doctoral research focuses on developing an evaluation model for mobile banking adoption among Agri-entrepreneurs in Northern Uganda, with emphasis on institutional, technological, behavioural, and socioeconomic dimensions. Jackson’s research centers on the design and modeling of information systems that advance sustainable economic development, particularly in key sectors such as agriculture, health, education, and environmental management. His interdisciplinary background allows him to integrate concepts from computing, biosciences, and development studies, ensuring that his work is both scientifically rigorous and practically relevant. He is especially interested in digital innovation, data-driven decision making, and technology-enabled approaches that address development challenges in resource-constrained settings.
