Objectives/tasks:
1. To develop microbial fuel cells for bioelectricity generation and wastewater treatment
2. To utilize the residual effluent from the microbial fuel cells wastewater treatment for soil amendment to enhance crop
productivity.

Products to be developed:
Electricity generation
Organic fertilizer for increased crop yield

Expected impact: Improved sanitation in the communities, improved food security, and energy access to ensure a healthy population
