Press Release: Planned Black Monday

Press Release

Gulu University Management has learnt of a planned Monday Boycott by some students over enforcement of the 2024 Tuition and Functional fees policies that allows only fully enrolled and registered students to access university facilities with implementation kicking off on Monday 11th November, 2024.

It is disheartening to note that some students have not enrolled since the academic year began in August even when enrollment is free of charge.

Management is also concerned about the number of students going through depression after losing their tuition to thieves or misusing it.

Students are urged to channel their grievances, if any, through their leadership and Dean of Students’ office as established procedure at the University.
